We specialize in custom Victorian Era gowns between the years 1860-1890, living history programs, historical sewing workshops, and treadle sewing machine repair.

What is the base price of your gowns?
Unfortunately, this question is rather hard to answer. Because of the various clothing eras I offer, types of material you may want, trims, and of course amount of fabric requested, this can change prices dramatically. If fabric is supplied, then I simply charge my normal hourly fee, so that helps my customers with costs. My hourly fee is $25.00 per hour to sew any garments. The cost of fabric can range from $5.99 a yard for non-reproduction period fabric cottons, to $150.00 and up per yard, for fine silks or taffetas. Depending on the era desired, fabric length needed can be 6-12 yards of fabric per gown. All clothing is made using measurements supplied by the client. Please make sure to double check all measurements. We are not responsible for fitting issues.
