About us

Over 20 years ago, my journey into the world of historical clothing began with a special gift from my mother—a 1907 Now Home treadle sewing machine. This extraordinary gift sparked a passion that has grown into a fulfilling career. Today, I have a diverse collection of antique sewing machines, which I use to craft authentic period clothing, offering a truly immersive historical experience to everyone who encounters my work.

My unwavering commitment to historical accuracy has garnered widespread recognition. The living history programs I’ve developed are celebrated for their authenticity and educational value, and they have been featured at schools, National Parks, State Parks, museums, historical societies, galleries, and private events. These programs encompass a wide range of activities, including Victorian dressing demonstrations, Dutch oven cooking, historical reenactments, and traditional children’s games. With an extensive professional background as a living historian, I’ve received numerous accolades for my engaging programs, backed by in-depth training to ensure every detail is perfected.

I’ve had the honor of contributing to two historical documentaries filmed in St. Joseph, Missouri. For both films, I created period-accurate clothing that enhanced their authenticity. My work has also been featured on various media platforms, including Pure Nebraska and KQ2 TV.

Through these appearances and programs, I strive to highlight the enduring relevance of living history in today’s world. My goal is to bring the past to life in a way that captivates audiences, sparks curiosity, and fosters a greater appreciation for historical knowledge.

I’ve been privileged to share my lively and educational living history programs in states such as Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska. Whether your event is nearby or miles away, Indian Creek Historical Fashions is eager to bring this unique experience to your location.
