Lady's Got Back-The evolution of the Victorian Bustle, Dutch Oven cooking, and the Art of Natural Fabric Dyeing
I will be performing three of my programs for the Pawnee County Historical Society. Lady’s Got Back begins at 11:00 am, followed by Dutch Oven Cooking at 1:30 pm and the Art of Natural Dyeing at 3:00 pm.
Marysville's Pony Express Festival
This is a HUGE annual event that Marysville, Kansas offers! It’s a day full of old west adventure, and one of a kind experiences for the whole family! Indian Creek Historical Fashions will be there, doing two shows! One will be based on Old Timey Children’s Games. Come learn how pioneer children played. Blind man’s Bluff, Hoop and Stick, Pick up Sticks, and Graces will be offered. This program is sure to bring out your inner child.
Next will be Lady’s Got Back. This fun and educational program is sure to evoke your imagination and expand your mind into the world of Victorian Fashion. One lucky guest will be chosen to dress in Victorian Clothing, from the inside out! Come on down to Marysville Kansas, and watch history come alive. The Victorian Era children’s games start at 10:00 am, and the dressing program begins at 2:00 pm.
Natural Fabric Dyeing
This event will be hosted by the Saline County Museum in Dorchester, Nebraska, at the Living History Days Extravaganza for kids.
Language of the Fan
Indian Creek Historical Fashions presents: “Language of the Fan.” A entertaining and educational program that takes guests back to a time when fans were used for communication, during the Victorian Era. Guests will learn what each gesture means, and will get the opportunity to make their very own Victorian fan!
