Indian Creek Historical Fashions is excited to announce that we will be showcasing three engaging programs at the upcoming Pawnee County Nebraska’s Living History Days event. Among these programs is "Lady’s Got Back-The Evolution of the Victorian Bustle," a unique presentation exploring the intricacies of Victorian fashion and how women of that era achieved their stylish looks. One fortunate audience member will have the special opportunity to be dressed in authentic Victorian undergarments leading up to the final outside gown selection, all while I provide detailed explanations of each clothing piece. This program promises to be an enjoyable and educational experience suitable for the entire family to enjoy. This program begins at 11:00 a.m.

The second program is a Dutch Oven program that showcases the traditional cooking methods of our pioneer ancestors while they were on the trail. Visitors have the chance to participate in making delicious beef stew, dessert providing an interactive and educational experience. This program begins at 1:30 p.m.

The third program Indian Creek Historical Fashions is offering is the educational and interactive Art of Natural Fabric Dyeing. During this program, participants learn about the techniques and materials our pioneer ancestors used to create an array of beautiful colors sourced from nature. This program allows participants to personally experience the process of dyeing fabric using natural elements, enabling them to craft their own historically inspired piece to cherish and take home. I will also be teaching how to make walnut dye. This program begins at 3:00 p.m.
